Join us for the MCPLA Arnold Walker Championship, a 2-day tournament open to all men with an active GHIN handicap index. This exciting event will feature some of the finest amateur golfers from the Milwaukee area, competing over 18 holes. With over 700 members in men’s Clubs around the county, the MCPLA has been organizing tournaments since 1934!

Tournament Details:

• August 23-24, 2025
• Option to register for either the Championship Flight (with payouts for gross only) or the Flighted Division (with payouts for net scores @ 95% of course handicap and select top gross scores, based on better finish).  # of flights to be determined based on field size. 
• Championship Flight will play from the Black tees.  Players in the Flighted Division with an index less than 25 will play from the White tees.  Players with an index of 25 or more will play from the Gold tees.  Maximum course handicap = 36.
• Entry fee includes 36 holes of golf and prizes for top finishers.  If you wish to ride, pay your cart fees directly at the course.
• Any ties for first place may be broken by sudden death playoff at the discretion of the tournament director.  If not feasible, the USGA final 9,6,3,1 method will be used.  If the tying players have the same score for hole #'s 10-18, the winner will be determined based on the last six holes, the last three holes, and finally, the 18th hole until the tie is broken. 
• On Saturday, tee times starting at 7:04 AM for Championship flight (from low to high handicap index).  Tee times for net flights will follow in the order of handicap indexes.   
• On Sunday, tee times will be based on Saturday results with low scores teeing off last (with times for each flight staggered). 
• Entries close August 16th.  
• Handicaps as of the day prior to play will be used for each round.  
• You are expected to play in 4:30 or less.  Slow play may result in penalties.

Tournament Management
This year, we’re using Golf Genius, an innovative platform for registration, payment, and LIVE SCORING during the tournament. Please download the Golf Genius App in advance (available for both iPhone and Android). Scoring will be required both in the app (by at least one person in each pairing throughout the round) and on a paper scorecard.  If any hole scores on your paper card differ from data in the app, the paper card shall serve as your official score.
